My re-commitment update! I have been plugging along. I must be honest that last week after the holiday weekend, even with all my weekly prep I found myself behind. I wasn't able to workout or even go for my walks everyday. By Friday I was frazzled and sort of a mess. But part of re commitment, is doing it as many times as it takes!
I am very proud of myself for one teeny tiny little step. I started realizing, in the past if I had a bad meal, or a few too many glasses of wine, I would let that spill over into my entire week and through the weekend, and think to myself... diet starts Monday. But with the support of a new squad of some amazing ladies (I'll get to that soon), I started realizing, that one bad meal is just that, one bad meal. I can pick up at dinner or breakfast right back on track. It doesn't mean that bad meal needs to spill over into snacking the rest of the night or bacon and a bagel for breakfast. It can be what it is, and I can move on.
So to this 2B Mindset and my new squad! I must be honest, I started this program haphazardly on May 17th. I joined a group, with a friend as the coach, and I tried to jump in, but didn't do my homework. I watched some of the videos, I wrote down some of my meals, I didn't put quantities, because I mean I have been on a diet basically my whole life. I know what to eat, but I know I don't follow it. I know how to lose weight, I just am too busy.....
Well I took this on with my same old mindset, but then something changed last week. I watched all the nutrition guide videos and I realized I DO NOT know what to eat. I realized that I also now have a support system of a beautiful group of ladies (we had our first meet up Sunday) to help me too! I decided to follow the program, I decided to log my meals, I decided to let go of what I thought. And now, I have lost 3.5 lbs this week, AND IT'S ONLY TUESDAY! I have a ton of energy! I also know I can lean on an amazing coach and group that are going through the exact same thing I am. It's as if a weight has been lifted (in the form of my first 3.5 lbs) and I realize I just need to slow down, and take the time to do it!
The 2B Mindset program is soo incredibly easy! The mantras fit into any lifestyle, and coming from a girl that never ate a vegetable until I was 20, if I can do it, YOU CAN DO IT! Remember you can start over a million times, just keep taking a step forward.
